Summer school : Maritime Spatial Planning and Management
As part of the COSELMAR research project (www.coselmar.fr) led by the IUML (www.iuml.fr) and in association with the Marine Spatial Planning Research Network (www.msprn.net), a Summer school dedicated to Maritime Spatial Planning and Management issues will be held in Nantes (France) in June 2015.
This Summer school targets PhD and Post-Doc students who are interested in these issues which are increasingly emerging in different countries and regions, including Europe. For 5 days, specialists from different parts of Europe will be gathered to lead intensive courses and practical exercises, alternating between broad conceptual approaches and in?depth case studies. The program is structured around six thematic sessions and one practical exercise:
- Integrated Maritime Policy
- Stakeholder involvement and engagement
- Transboundary issues
- Data, knowledge and tools
- Spatial planning and zoning
- Time, space and scales
- Linking maritime and coastal planning
- Practical exercise
